156th birth anniversary of Gandhi Jayanti
Honoring the Legacy of Two Great Leaders: Mahatma Gandhi and Lal Bahadur Shastri
On the solemn occasion of Gandhi Jayanti, we gathered to pay tribute to the 156th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, the revered Father of the Nation. The presence of our Hon’ble Vice Chancellor and Registrar added grace and inspiration to the event, as they reflected on Gandhiji’s timeless values of truth, non-violence, and selfless service.
This day also marked the 121st birth anniversary of Bharat Ratna Pandit Lal Bahadur Shastri, India’s second Prime Minister, whose life and leadership embodied simplicity, humility, and unwavering patriotism. His iconic call of “Jai Jawan, Jai Kisan” continues to inspire generations to uphold the dignity of both our soldiers and farmers.
Recognized globally as the International Day of Non-Violence, October 2nd serves as a poignant reminder of the ideals these two visionary leaders championed—peace, justice, harmony, and inclusive development. The commemorative event featured heartfelt tributes, reflections on their teachings, and a collective reaffirmation of our dedication to integrating their principles into our academic and societal pursuits.
Let us continue to walk the path of Ahimsa, uphold the spirit of service and integrity, and work together towards building a just, inclusive, and self-reliant India.
